Roncalli senior Justin Saylor was named Indiana Mr. Football Defensive Back in conjunction with the Mr. Football announcement Dec. 10.
Saylor, a 6-foot-3-inch, 177-pound cornerback, had two interceptions, 30 pass breakups and returned two punts for touchdowns for the Rebels, who went 9-5 and advanced to the Class 4A semistate.
He is the fifth Roncalli player to win a position award, joining Mike Bohn (1993, running back), Marcus Nalley (2002, running back), Drew Oehrle (2011, kicker) and Cal Scifres (2013, offensive line). Jason Werner was named Mr. Football in 2004.
