Hope (Mich.) College defensive back Kirby Crook’s game-ending defensive play against Olivet College on Oct. 18 was recently selected as the Play of the Week by D3football.com.
His leaping, dramatic fingertip interception in the end zone secured a 42-35 homecoming win over Olivet College. The 5-9, 165-pounder has 34 tackles and four interceptions.
Crook, a former student-athlete at Beech Grove High School, is co-captain of Hope’s Division II team, which is 5-2 and in the thick of the battle for the Michigan Intercollegiate Conference Athletic Association championship.
He is the son of Wendell and Marilee Crook.
