Seniors Holly Hoopingarner, a Indiana junior All-Star, will play basketball at IUPUI; Megan Overton will play softball at Boston College; Krista Jones, the reigning girls Mid-State Conference diving champion, will compete for the University of Pittsburgh; and Paige Wilson, a three-year starter in softball, will attend Taylor.
Hoopingarner, a 5-foot-7-inch guard, averaged 21 points per game last year, topping 1,000 points scored. She was named a Supreme 15 Underclassman last season by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, a “Hoosier Basketball Magazine” second team All-State selection in 2015 and was the 2014 Johnson County Player of the Year.
Overton, who also plays basketball, holds three softball records – most career shutouts and season records for stolen bases and shutouts.
Jones holds school records for most points scored for six and 11 dives. She was a sectional runner-up and was 10th in the state finals as a junior.
Wilson has helped the Woodmen capture three Mid-State championships and two county titles. She was a national CaptainU Softball Player of the Week.
