Coach’s comments: “We have told the kids this is a two-year process, minimum. We have players with little experience who are facing a loaded schedule, and it showed in our first game. The kids know it will be an uphill road, so we will see where we will be at the end. We’re definitely not looking to be where we are now. I think we will be better defensively than last year. We will be working constantly with different combinations. We have some quickness and show some size underneath. We didn’t take care of the ball and got into foul trouble in our first game; hopefully that’s a lesson learned. We will be a work in progress.”
