Logan Bontrager, a senior at Center Grove, was named the Class 6A football recipient of the Phil N. Eskew Mental Attitude after Friday’s state championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Bontrager, a 6-0, 175-pound defensive back, had three tackles and an interception in the Trojans’ 16-13 loss to Carmel in overtime.
A member of the 2015 state championship team, he was a four-year member of the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference All-Academic team. He also was a member of this year’s 1,600-meter relay state championship team and an all-state runner.
Bontrager, a three-year volunteer at the Easter Seals Camp Ability at Center Grove, plans to to study finance, math or business law in college.
