Coach’s comments: “We are experienced and our younger girls are stepping into bigger roles, doing a great job holding their own. These younger girls are crazy athletic. This is a great group of girls; they get along well and the chemistry is great. They work hard and work together. This year we’re hoping to sneak up on some teams. I’m optimistic.”
Beech Grove (12-15) – Hornets graduated two seniors with a combined 180 kills … Hornets have Giller, team leader in kills (212) and blocks (51) and seniors Abbe Ferrer (85 kills, 62 blocks) and Kayla Matkins back from shoulder injury as ringleaders … coach Lindsey (Galloway) Hall and Hornets without senior libero Michele Jennings, season-ending knee injury … senior Claire Adamson becomes setter … seniors Kylee Gann and Breanna Courtney strengthen back row.
