
The Hornets won their homecoming game against Monrovia to stay in contention for the Indiana Crossroads title. BG quarterback Chase Andries ran for the go-ahead TD early in the second quarter, and he later connected on scoring passes to Montrez Herron. Walter Ballinger ran for 109 yards in the Hornets’ balanced attack.
Former Southport coach Bill Peebles returned to the Southside where host Center Grove downed Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference foe Lawrence Central. The Trojans’ defense came up with three interceptions, including a late-game pick by Corbin Laque. CG showed a one-two punch on the ground with Titus McCoy and Russ Yeast combining for more than 150 yards.
Perry Meridian popped host Bloomington South 33-2.
