
Pope has been part of the wellness team at the Y for more than a year, having served as a wellness coach and a trainer. His fitness journey began while playing basketball and track. He is known at the YMCA for his ability to cater to all fitness levels and abilities.
“In the time that James has been at the Baxter YMCA, he has managed to impact our members and staff in many ways with his positive attitude, grateful spirit, and passion for helping others reach their fitness goals,” wellness director Bobbi Finley said.
A graduate of Huntington University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science and is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.
