Baxter YMCA is registering individuals and teams of all skill levels for its first women’s basketball league, which will feature divisions for ages 19-29 and 30 and older.
“Women’s basketball leagues are rare,” YMCA sport director Joel Hudson said. “We are looking to provide an opportunity for women to continue their love of the game in a competitive, yet relaxed environment.”
Play starts July 14 and runs through Aug. 25, with games on Monday or Wednesday evenings.
Cost is $35 per member, $55 per nonmember. Registration ends July 9. Info: 865-6456.
