Berry, a Marion County sheriff’s deputy, trains at Ardizzone & Nalley Gym at Stop 11 Road and Madison Avenue.
DeJuan “D.J.” VanHorn, who also trains there, was runner-up in the heavyweight division. D.J., a former college basketball player turned bodybuilder, stands 6-8 and weighs 250 pounds.
The contest attracted more than 200 contestants.
