Coach’s comments: “The experience from last year should help us win games this year that we gave away last year with inexperience and mistakes. Both pitchers we had last year were new at Lutheran. Some of the experience will help us in getting more timely hits and coming through for their teammates. Of our 15-player roster, I have 10 girls who play travel softball. That will help us fill voids and play multiple spots. We have some triple threats at the plate, so we can mix it up. We have some competitive kids, so everybody’s game should improve. My expectations are high for this group.”

Coach’s comments: “I foresee a ton of improvement. We have a lot of varsity returnees back. I’ve seen a complete change, a different environment. We’ve added some talented freshmen who are pushing some of the upperclassmen. We have only 20 players, but our kids can play multiple positions. Pitching should be improved. We do have some power hitters, but our best hitters are line drive-RBI hitters. We do have a lot of speed for a short-game. Some girls can put the ball out of the park, but our focus is to score runs. I would rather have a lot of RBIs instead of home runs. Work ethic and team attitude will continue from |
