Ten regional champion wrestlers are among 37 grapplers from the Southside who will compete in IHSAA semistate championships Saturday.
Four-time regional champions Brayden Lowery and Alec Viduya led Roncalli to third place in points at Perry Meridian. The sectional host Falcons were second with Franklin Central fourth, Southport fifth and Lutheran eighth.
The top four finishers Saturday in the semistates will advance to the IHSAA State Finals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Friday-Saturday, Feb. 21-22.
Southside wrestlers who qualified for semistates from the Perry Meridian Regional compete Saturday at New Castle and qualifiers from the Mooresville Regional are in the Evansville Semistate.

STATE SWIM FINALS
Greenwood, Southport and Center Grove will be represented Friday and Saturday in the IHSAA girls swimming state finals at the IU Natatorium, 901 W. New York St.
Swim prelims are Friday at 6 p.m., with diving prelims and semis at 9 a.m. Saturday, followed by consolations and finals at 1 p.m. in all events. Admission is $8 per session or $15 for both days.
The qualifiers from the Southside captured a sectional championship or qualified by time. Diving regionals were held Tuesday.

VOLLEYBALL COACH STEPS DOWN
Missy Marsh has resigned as Roncalli High School’s head girls volleyball coach. Her husband, Scott Marsh recently accepted the head football coaching position at Nicholasville (Ky.) High School.
Marsh served as volleyball coach for 12 seasons, compiling a 232-103 record. The Rebels won four Circle City Conference and four county championships plus five sectionals and one regional title. The 2014 team advanced to the Class 4A semistate and posted a 35-4 record. As a result, Marsh was named the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association (ICGSA) Class 4A South Coach of the Year for 2014.
She is a teacher at Central Catholic School on the Southside.
Roncalli principal Chuck Weisenbach praised her for achieving a high level of success while competing among the state’s top volleyball teams.
Roncalli is accepting letters of application for the varsity girls volleyball head coaching position. Applicants may send their resume and cover letter to Roncalli athletic director David Lauck.
