LARRY DAVID WILLIAMS, 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. Larry was born in Beech Grove, Indiana the son of the late Howard and Helen (Ray) Williams. He was US Navy Veteran and a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Larry worked at Eli Lilly for more than 25 years with numerous positions retiring as a Safety Coordinator. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Williams, and his brother-in-laws Scott Butler and Kenny Bunch.
He grew up in Beech Grove and went to Holy Name Catholic School graduating from Beech Grove High School. Larry married Janet Michaelis April 23, 1971 and were married 52 years they attended St. Barnabas raising their 5 children there. He was a football and wrestling referee for 16 years until his accident. He loved spending time with his family going to Colts games, family vacations, camping and spending time at the lake house among many more family activities.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Michaelis) Williams; his children, Jennifer Himelick, Brian Williams (Ashlee), David Williams, Michael Williams (Lauren), and Angie Uberta (Mike); grandchildren, Britney, Brianna, Bryce, Mason, Owen, Addi, Hannah, Layla, Vince and Kennedy; his siblings, Marilyn Green (Larry), Dennis Williams (Sande), Richard Williams (Nancy) and Jane Butler.
Visitation was held on Sunday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis, Indiana and a Mass of Catholic burial was celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Entombment was in Calvary Cemetery with military rites.

SEARAH E. ALVEY, 97, sisters, Ruth Alvey, and Mary Rickels.
Searah was a very active volunteer for local Community Services in the area. She loved gardening, taking care of her flowers and quilting with her mother. She loved to cook and was known for her yeast rolls. She loved spending time with her family, especially with the little ones.
Searah was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.

She worked passionately as an emergency room nurse at St. Francis Hospital. She transitioned from nursing to the Trauma Program Manager, helping to develop and lead their innovative Stop The Bleed Program.

Gary was an entrepreneur having two retail stores in Greenwood. He was a talented woodworker and craftsman. He rehabbed houses and constructed new buildings. He had a wonderful sense of humor and zest for life.

Judith graduated from Holy Name Catholic School and Scecina High School. She worked at Holy Name Grade School and volunteered with St. Vincent dePaul Society. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to the casino, sharing with her book club and Bible club. She formed an AA community at Holy Name Catholic Church. Judith’s favorite thing was spending time with family and friends.

HAZEL SMITH DUNN, 91, widow of George E. Dunn; children, Mark Dunn (Joleen) and Teri Iezzi (Michael); six grandchildren; two siblings.
She had a wonderfully happy childhood as one of eight children and often wrote about her life growing up during the Depression.
She was employed by Baker & Daniels law firm retiring in 2001 at age 70.

She was extremely courageous and fought hard until the very end. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She and Stephen helped found the Center Grove Choir Parent Organization, in support of their daughter’s show choir involvement.
Bev and her family attended First Baptist Church of Greenwood for many years, and then later the former Center Grove Presbyterian Church.

MADELINE “MAT” JUSTIS, 77, widow of William “Marty” Justis, IV; sons, Michael (Kristen), and Martin (Jennifer) Justis: seven grandchildren.
Mat developed a deep interest in craftwork, including knitting, needlepoint, crocheting and painting. Eventually, she settled into card-making. Her cards were considered treasured gifts. She enjoyed walking and met the challenge of three Indy 500 Mini-Marathons.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
Mat rarely missed a recital, school play, orchestral performance, baseball game, basketball game, or band competition.
Visitation is at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Thurs., Oct. 26, 3-7 p.m.
WILLIAM “BILLY” KELLEY, 39, wife, Brandy; children, AJ, Dylan, Linkin and Bianca; parents, Bill Kelley and Pamela Ward; sister, Jennie Gray.
Billy was a beach bum at heart. He loved going to the ocean, hiking, catching frogs, anything outdoors, music, concerts and playing the guitar. He had the most contagious smile and laugh.

A 1963 graduate of Southport High School, David served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked 10 years at Standard Grocery and later had a 30-year career with Indianapolis Power & Light Company.
David enjoyed summers at Sweetwater Lake and was a fan of IU sports and the Colts. In retirement, he developed a love for golf. He was instantly likable, with his quick wit, funny stories and charming personality.

After retiring, he wintered in Florida with Nancy where they played golf and floated down the river on their boat.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mickey enjoyed riding horses, boating, cooking, cheering on Notre Dame football and the Colts.

He loved when his wife made homemade spaghetti sauce and his next favorite food was buffalo wings. He enjoyed family get-together dinners.
