Mona loved riding their motorcycle! Together with Rick, they traveled by bike to 46 of the 48 lower states and Canada. She enjoyed tacos and margaritas and playing the slots at the casino! She was a member of ABATE for several years. Mona had a great love for family.

Todd was a 1980 graduate of Center Grove. He was passionate about music from an early age. He learned the piano and became a gifted tenor. He continued his love for music by teaching students and judging events at Center Grove.
He was quick-witted and enjoyed sharing the holiday spirit with his adored family.
He worked for the State of Indiana for more than 20 years, most recently serving as the Director of Training & Technology for the Department of Administration.

BLAKE E. DEVITT, 76, wife, Jan; siblings, Jim Devitt (Tanya), Nancy Bolander (Steve) and Tricia Dean (Kent).
Blake began his CPA career at Ernst & Ernst in 1971. Blake was chosen to be a Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), achieved partnership and served as Lead Audit Partner for several national pharmaceutical clients.
He cheered for the Colts, Pacers and pretty much any competitive sporting event. He and Jan enjoyed worldwide traveling, music and theater arts, golf, exercise and spending time with family and friends.

ALICE FLANAGAN, 72, widow of Michael Flanagan; children, Patricia (Shawn) Shipman, Wanda (Jim) Brandlein, Joseph Blair; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Wanda (Larry) Cooney, Norma (Don) McFarland.
Alice attended Barber School and owned Alfie’s Barber Shop. Alice was a born-again Christian.
She loved crafting, sewing, gardening, ironing and loved to share her creations with her family. Alice was the life of the party and commanded attention everywhere she went. Her bubbly personality and loving nature will be missed.

SAVANNA MARIE HALL, 38, mother, Tammy (Carl) Morgan; father, Noel (Kelly Gardner) Hall; children, Hayley and Nicholas Miller; grandfather, Kenneth Rice; grandmother, Peggy Sanders; siblings, Andrew (Shelly), Joshua and Noel Hall II, Robilyn Hacker, Kati (Chad) Morris.
Savanna attended Perry Meridian and loved to read, write and listen to music. She was a very quiet, loving and giving person with a kind heart. Savanna enjoyed her quiet time and loved her family dearly, especially her children.

WILLIAM H. HENDLEY, 72, wife, Julie Hendley; siblings, Sheila (Patrick) O’Steen, Freddie (Kathy), Patricia (Jack), and Sharon Hendley.
Bill established the Hendley Family Association, LLC. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion. Bill supported activities at the Otterbein in Franklin and helped many with genealogy research. He was a Civil War buff and did historical reenactments. He also helped with the State of Indiana veteran’s legislation for over 30 years.

MICHAEL L. HULSKOTTER, 75, children, Mark (Aimee) and Michelle; their mother, Marilyn; two grandchildren; brother, James (Loann) Hulskotter.
Mike joined the Marion County Sheriff’s Department in 1969 as a Deputy Sheriff. After retiring he began working full time at KSAA as their Manager of Operations and Security. Mike managed German Park for the Federation of German Societies for over 30 years.
He valued time spent fishing with his friends, mowing grass, work transport trips to Florida and he always looked forward to his weekly Heimel Auction visit to see his long-time friend of 52 years, Mike Heimel.

WILLIAM “BILL” E. MCCURRY, JR., 81, wife, Louise McCurry; sons, Timothy and Mark (Jennifer) McCurry; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Stephen McCurry, Millicent Stiefler.
Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Murat Shrine and Shriners 500 Club. He worked for Conway Central Express. He enjoyed eating, fishing, cards, flying kites, golfing, travel, camping, the Colts, Indy 500, Westerns and time with family. Bill was known for his mischievous sense of humor, and always making people laugh.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home.
JACQUELYN JOANN MCDONOUGH, 39, children, Danny Gill III and Brailey Douglas; mother, Rose Waggoner; siblings, John, Josh, Summer and Ryan McDonough, Melissa Palmer.
Jacki attended Manual High School. She most recently worked for Fastenal as a sortation manager. Jacki had many hobbies including playing softball, cards, tanning and listening to music. Jacki enjoyed making people laugh. She had a large heart for all children, but her two kids were the light of her life.

TESSA MARIE COTHRON MERIWETHER, 41, parents, Douglas and Deborah Cothron; sons, Isaac and Lincoln Meriwether; brothers, Kirk (Shannon Seniour), Lyle, and Andrew (Shelby) Cothron.
Tessa enjoyed days on the beach and traveling. She was a huge music lover. She enjoyed taking photos, working on scrapbooking, arts and crafts. She was a real estate agent for commercial property. Her family was her source of love and enjoyment.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed.

SYLVIA D. RAY PHILLIPS, 72, husband, Thomas Phillips; two grandchildren; sisters, Willie Mae Brotherton and Tina Baker.
Sylvia was a member of Thy Kingdom Come Ministries. She loved being around her large family at many family events.
She retired in 2010 after 34 years as an L.P.N.

RALPH E. PIRTLE, 85, wife, Norma Pirtle; children, Ellen, Elizabeth, Earl, Laurie and Lavone; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy, Helen and Karen.
Ralph loved fishing, camping and spending time with family. He was an avid Colts and Pacers fan who also loved popcorn.

He enjoyed woodworking, collecting and refurbishing vintage pinball machines, building and repairing computers, landscaping, was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed fostering and caring for his beloved dogs. He retired from AT&T after many years of service in various roles and was a former Johnson County Reserve Deputy.

PAMELA JEAN “JEANNE” STEINMETZ, 66, husband, David Steinmetz; children, Amanda Huff, Steven (Lauren) Poynter, Casandra (Monty) Timbs-Boone and Nicholas (Kristin) Steinmetz; siblings, Linda (Earl) Allen, Ricky (Lynda) Timbs, Jackie (Carl) Schultz and Kelly Neace; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She went to Southport High School. Jeanne worked as a bartender. She enjoyed reading, laying out in the sun, shopping, listening to music, and antique shopping. She loved to spend time with her family.

ROBERT MICHAEL WALKER, 80, wife, Susan Walker; daughter, Janice (Robert) Holland; one granddaughter; one great-grandson.
He was a graduate of Manual High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and in 1975 he started Walker Construction Corp. He was a member of Southport Lodge No. 270 F & A.M., Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and a 50-year member of the Murat Shrine, and Christ United Methodist Church.
Robert and Susan loved to visit the horse races together. He was a loving and caring family man.

HELEN JEAN MILLER WISE, 96, widow of Richard Wise; children, Barbara Compton, Carol Vera, Joann (Rick) Farris, Richard (Nancy) Wise and Laura (Greg) Wise-Ewing; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
She lived most of her life in Beech Grove. Helen was active for many years in the Beech Grove Jayshees, the Beech Grove High School Alumni Association, the Beech Grove Historical Society and volunteered with the Indiana State Museum. She was a Girl Scout and later Campfire Girl Leader.
She will be remembered for her love of books and her pride in her family.
