She served as a bookkeeper for Reprographic Services, the family business, for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. She was a volunteer with Catholic’s ministries. She was also one of the originators of the Helping Hand, in Indianapolis.

Libby was a lifelong nurse with Community Health Network. She and John were avid motorcycle lovers and riders.
Libby was devoted to her passion of quilting. She enjoyed lunch with her friends, going to book club or Bible Study. Libby was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

JAMES C. BROWN, SR., 93, wife, Carole Brown; son, James Stewart-Brown; daughter-in-law, Amy; three grandsons.
He served in the FBI from 1947 to 1963 as a Special Agent. He began a career as an industrial security consultant, owning Carlton Security, Inc.
He was a member of the Southport Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 355, VFW, Greenwood Post 5864, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.
Jim and Carol enjoyed traveling to see family and spending time with their grandsons.

Steve owned his own businesses for many years starting with a towing company and then used car sales.
He raced at the Indianapolis Speedrome for years with his racecar chief, Daniel Senteney, by his side. They won many races and several championships. After his years of racing, Steve continued to build cars of his own.

LINDA R. ATZHORN CHRISTENSEN, 75, daughters, Melissa (Brent) Magness and Amy (Bob) Spotts; mother, Rosemary Atzhorn; sisters, Donna (Rick) Stapinski and Laura (Mike) Bushong; six grandchildren.
She worked at Anthem Insurance for 30 years, retiring in 2010. Linda’s best days were attending her grandkids’ activities. She loved being involved in any and all family events (always being the first to arrive, and the first to clean up!).

IRENE “ANN” CLARK, 80, husband, Gerald “Gary” Clark; sister-in-law, Joyce Taylor; brother-in-law, Kenny Peterman.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and always welcomed people into her home in their time of need. She met Gary at Methodist Hospital where she was a nurse for more than 30 years retiring in 2003. Ann and Gary enjoyed traveling and visited many places including Hawaii and many others.

Lucille was a member of Stop 11 Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and shopping. She retired from Western Electric with 30 years of service.

Jim worked for General Motors as a Mechanical Engineer for 37. He was involved with Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley, Gatlin Gun Club, Southport Masonic Lodge No. 270 F&AM. Jim joined the Kentucky Colonels after becoming an Honorable Colonel in 2006.

She attended Wood High School. She enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with her grandchildren. Luann was an outstanding mother, wife and grandmother and was always there for everyone.

Janet worked for different companies, including Plymate, Indianapolis Office Supply, and Mary Kay. Janet was very creative and artistic. She loved crafting and design. She enjoyed quilting. By far her favorite pastime was caring for her family and grandchildren.

JOHN POWERS PERDUE, 67, widower of Cheryl Perdue; children, Rachel Smith and son-in-law Jeff Smith, John Perdue II; three grandchildren.
John worked for many years in sales and for the last few years, as a truck driver.

He was a veteran of the U.S Army having served in Germany. He had his masters degree in social work and worked at St. Vincent for a number of years.

Devin was a 2022 graduate of Southport High School. He played trumpet in the marching band and concert band and was a member of the lacrosse team.

JESSE FLOYD ROBINSON, 84, wife, Johnnie Robinson; children, John and Jesse Robinson II, Julie Robinson-Brown (Robert); siblings, Ammon Robinson, Dillard Whitson and Reba Welch.
Jesse worked many years in the trucking industry as terminal manager and in dispatch. His children recall, they could call him if they were lost anywhere in the state of Indiana and he could guide them safely back home. After retirement, he took a job driving the shuttle van for Indy Honda where he thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking with customers.

Ed was a well-respected application engineer for 18 years at Dean Brothers Pump before moving on to Xylem and then to Straeffer Pump and Supply.
He was a huge race fan, enjoyed watching IU basketball, and collecting sports memorabilia. He enjoyed driving his Mustang and motorcycle.

He graduated from Southport High School, class of 1951.
Dick worked as a mechanic for Link Belt and retired after 33 years. He was a member of the Shriner Society and the Freemasons. Dick loved model cars, watching television and wrestling.

MELBA JANE WARNER, 65, widow of Thomas Warner; mother, Betty Richardson; children, Rosemary and James Warner, Rachel Goodnight Flowers (Jim); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Rosie Fiscus, Rebecca Goodnight, Vicki, Denny, Bishop and Jeffery Griggs.
She truly did not know a stranger. Melba was the definition of living life to the fullest. She had the most upbeat and outgoing personality and there never was a dull moment if she had any control of it. To the many people Melba loved, she loved them with her entire being and made sure they knew that.

JOANN LOUISE WHITAKER, 87, husband, Kenneth Whitaker; children, Rick, Mark and Eric (Michele) Whitaker; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Shirley Weddle.
Joann loved being outdoors, traveling, and shopping. She retired from Edgewood Building Supply after 31 years. Joann was a member of Grace Point Church in New Whiteland. She served in the nursery for 40 years at Villa Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church.

JAMES EUGENE WHITE, 85, widower of Pauline White; brothers, Paul and Bobby (Betty) White; stepchildren James (Phyllis) and Allen Strong, Wanda Armstrong and Judy Kizzee; 10 step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; six step-great-great-grandchildren.
He loved most sports, bowling, hunting and fishing trips to Lake Erie. He was a Kentucky Wildcat fan and a former Colts season ticket holder but his favorite sport by far was baseball. There was only one team for him, the New York Yankees.
At Crestwood South he enjoyed visiting and talking with all the friends he made there. He never met a stranger.

CLARICE WILLIAMS SPARKS, 88, widow of Roy Sparks; sons, Robert (Linda) and Adam Sparks; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Southport High School. Clarice and her family were charter members of the Shelbyville Road Church of Christ where she taught Bible classes.
Clarice enjoyed traveling and traveled to all 50 states, three provinces of Canada and Mexico. She was a published poet and author. She enjoyed the simple pleasure of enjoying the breeze and sunshine on her porch.
