NORMAN “JOE” JONES, 79, Indianapolis, passed away June 3, 2019. He was born April 10, 1940, to Robert and Savanna Jones.
Norman was a car and truck lover, all with a General Motors logo. He loved his Corvettes and his little green truck. He retired after 33 years from General Motors at the Indianapolis Stamping Plant and was a member of the UAW Local 23.
He was preceded in death by a son, Norman Eugene “Gene” Jones, and his parents.
Joe is survived by his wife, Carleene (Wynkoop) Jones; children and their spouses: Tony and Nancy Trips; Kelly and Trevor McDonald; grandchildren: Taylor Jones, Nicole Avedon, Nathan McDonald, Joey Trips, Connie Trips, Gabe Trips; sister: Joyce Jones; brother: Stanley Jones, nieces: Terri Mann, Robbin Carter; nephew: Greg Jones; and a host of other family and friends.
A graveside ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Round Hill Cemetery. A gathering will follow at O’Reilly’s Irish Bar.
