Wanda worked as the head of the spice room for Sexton’s and retired in 1996 after 35 years of service.
Wanda was very proud that her ancestors were instrumental in helping the Garfield Christian Church to be established in Indianapolis.
She was a faithful member of Garfield Christian Church with her husband for several decades. Wanda loved caring for animals and raised her fair share of cats and dogs during her life. She loved to go fishing and hunting with both her husband and her father. Wanda enjoyed gardening in her free time. Wanda always put her family first; she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. The memories created will be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Mack Vancel Cherry; her children, Maryanne, Karen, Beth, and Ed; her numerous grandchildren; her numerous great grandchildren; her 1 great-great -grandson; her numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; her four sisters.
A visitation for Wanda will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m.

She is loved and missed by her devoted husband Charlie; daughters, Brenda Uhalik; and Donna Jones and her husband Steve; one son, Dale Burris and his wife Peggy; her four adored grandchildren, Dale and Brandon (Victoria) Uhalik and Rachel and Andrew Jones; her sister, Reba (Steve) Benson; sister-in-law, Sherrie Bradstreet and one great granddaughter on the way. Jane was a beloved aunt and a friend to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Uhalik and infant granddaughter, Dorothy Ann Uhalik.
Jane was a long-time member of Greenwood Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star # 452. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma and cherished time spent with her family. Jane & Charlie were winter members of New Hope Christian Church, Nokomis, Florida. They enjoyed wintering in Florida and were blessed to travel worldwide.
Visitation will be observed from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21 at Greenwood Christian Church, 2045 Averitt Road, Greenwood, IN 46143 and from 9:45 a.m. -10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
The Celebration of Life will begin at 11a.m. Saturday, April 22 at the church. Jane will be laid to rest at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Christian Church or the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation.

He graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 2003. He was employed by Metro Elevator where he served as a welder and fabricator. Chevy’s hobbies included fishing, working on his cars and playing cards.
He loved helping others. He enjoyed music, guitar, being a jokester and making everyone laugh. He was always the center of attention and the life of the party.

Mary Ann was a godly woman. She was a loving, kind and giving woman. After moving to Indianapolis, Mary Ann became the Secretary at Lutheran High School of Indianapolis for many years.

Adam graduated from Purdue Polytechnic High School, and also attended Christal House Academy. He collected dolls and enjoyed spending time with online friends on Roblox. Adam’s smile would light up the room. Adam was working very hard to become the man he was meant to be and touched so many lives. He was such a good person and will be missed. Adam worked at McDonald’s on Madison Avenue and loved working with all his coworkers.

MARY CAROLYN JOHNSTON, 95. She was a teacher before becoming a mother. She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, and a member of the Keenagers Group. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She volunteered at Community South Hospital and Our Lady of the Greenwood.
Carolyn enjoyed baking, doing crosswords, traveling, and taking day trips, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years James “J.T.” Johnston, and brother Charles Fuchtman. She is survived by her children Lucia (Larry) Begley, James (Tracy) Johnston, and Mary Jane (Dennis) Blackwell, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial will be at Lawrenceville City Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Illinois

Gladys enjoyed watching the Indiana Pacers, working jigsaw puzzles, playing Bingo and going to the casino. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

PAUL MARTIN, 76. He married his wife, Carol, in 1971 and together they shared 52 years of marriage together.
Paul worked as a custodian for Center Grove High School and retired after over 25 years of service. Paul enjoyed driving his Trans Am and admiring other fine cars in his free time. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn and taking care of his land with great care. Paul liked to watch both Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with his wife, Carol, every evening. Paul loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren deeply and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Carol Martin; his children, Chris Martin, Derek Martin, and Dawn Martin; his grandchildren, Austin Chaney, Brittany Martin-Chaney, Jerrod Savage, and Rylan Martin; his great grandchildren, Maleah Lashbrook and Gema Lashbrook; his siblings, Raymond Martin, Andrew Martin, Phillip Martin, Leah Martin, and Maurine Short; his several nieces and nephews.

She was a 1979 graduate of Whiteland High School. Debbie spent many years working with children in home health care. She enjoyed watching television, traveling with her family and friends and the many memorable trips to the beach and Dale Hollow. She liked to wear makeup, go shopping and have her daily coffee. Debbie loved her family and kept up with all of them through Facebook.

RONALD “RON” SEGER, 48, mother, Sylvia Seger; brother, Robert Seger; his caretakers, Melissa and John Johnson.
Ron worked as a vendor at trade shows, fairs, and festivals. He loved his country, talking to and meeting new people, animals, cooking, and collecting diecast cars and Looney Tunes characters.

ROBERT (Bob) STOCKTON, 93. He was preceded in death by his parents (Fred and Ethel), and his brother and sister (Sam and Jane).
Bob quit high school to join the US Marines, in which he served 5 years, including 2 years in Guam as a communications engineer. During his time in the Marines, he realized the importance of a good education, so upon his discharge as a Staff Sergeant, he enrolled at Indiana Tech, and ended up graduating at the top of his class with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, he went to work for Public Service Indiana in Columbus Indiana (PSI later became Cinergy and then Duke Energy). After over 25 years with PSI, Bob left to go work for an international engineering company (CT Main) for several years. In that job he lived in diverse places like Saudi Arabia, Alaska, and Nepal. Upon his return to the US, he went back to PSI for a few more years, and then retired in 2002.
He was a very easy-going, likable guy who was loved by all. One of his most outstanding characteristics was his quick wit. Even when dementia robbed him of his memories the last several years, his sense of humor remained fully intact until almost the end. He loved to “tinker” in the garage and yard, usually with a pipe in his mouth (oftentimes unlit). He loved taking flying lessons, and one of his proudest moments was when he soloed. He was an amazing father to his 3 sons. He read them to sleep every night when they were little, played pitch and catch in the backyard, took them on many camping and canoeing trips, attended all their academic and athletic events, and much more.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carole Sue Stockton, and 3 sons by a previous marriage, Ken (Cally) Stockton of Fort Collins CO, Steve (Chari) Stockton of Charleston WV, and Glenn (Jeannette) Stockton of Shutesbury MA, as well as 5 grandchildren (Ruth, Sam, Jane Anne, Lucy, and Griffin). We all cherish our memories of him and are very grateful he was a part of our lives.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:45 a.m., Thursday, April 20, at Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 102 West Main St. Greenwood, IN 46142. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the service time. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, IN with military honors.
