Nancy earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Marian University. She enjoyed IU basketball and watching her grandchildren play sports, numerous choir concerts and dance recitals.
Nancy practiced her faith as a Franciscan sister where she taught at Scencia High School. Her life took her in a new direction when she married Jack. She worked for IU School of Medicine and retired in 2010.

FRANCIS JOSEPH CAVANAUGH SR., 91, widower of Margaret; children, Lou, Joe (Melanie), Mary, and Christina Cavanaugh; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He obtained a degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University. Joe used his pharmacy degree to get a job at Eli Lilly, where he became a lifetime employee working with computers.
Joe was a member of the United Methodist church. He was an avid gardener and loved anything to do with flowers. He enjoyed music and singing in choirs. His family meant everything to him.

Karen was a devoted family woman who would do anything for anyone in need. She loved to watch Hallmark movies, NASCAR, and football. She was always cheering on the Bears. She enjoyed spending time on the porch with her family telling stories and enjoying the warm weather.

RONALD DAVID DOYLE JR., 65, wife, Sally Doyle; children, Jonathan and Rachel Doyle (fiancé Gabe); sister, Teresa Doyle (David Cox).
David worked for Eli Lilly and Co. as Lead Mechanic, Engineering-Instrumentation.
He was a great handyman. He was a huge Sci-Fi enthusiast. He loved history and nonfiction books. He had quite a sense of humor and loved puns and jokes. He was an animal lover. He loved trying different beers and collecting bottles from his favorites.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, June 7 from 5-7 p.m. at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S. East Street.
LEWIS “LEW” GALATI, 97, wife, Mary Lou Galati; daughter, Tina (Tim) Hann; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
After serving in the Army, he studied Aeronautical Engineering at Purdue University for three years.
Lew and Mary Lou celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary last October. Lew loved to build and fly radio-controlled airplanes and was a charter member of Southside RC Club. He had a passion for trains, aviation and woodworking.
Lew loved animals, especially dogs, who would always find a way to his lap. He was loved by his family and friends.

LARRY W. GRUBB, 70, wife, Mashell Grubb; daughter, Brandi Grubb; siblings, Allen (Debbie) and Mark Grubb, Phyllis (Kenny) Ward, Judy (Jim) Davis, Jackie Jaggers.
Larry worked as a truck driver for AT&T and retired in 2009 after 38 years. Larry could be described as a loving and devoted man with a witty sense of humor. He was a lifelong lover of sports. Larry watched and cheered for UK basketball with his friends and family.
He enjoyed spending his mornings with his coffee clubmates at Starbucks and later the Greenwood Mall food court.

Becky graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1979 and worked in different positions as an employee for the City of Indianapolis until her retirement in 2016. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority since 1983 and joined the Holy Angels Catholic Church in 2021.

Hartman; children, Judith Toler, Karen (Ron) McFarland, Sharon Hartman, Janice (Tim) Wozniak, Mary Hannum, Edward and Keith (Jackie) Hartman; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She worked at Allison Transmission until she married Edward in 1945 and became a homemaker. Doris and Ed were charter members of St. Mark Catholic Church.
She was a talented seamstress and quilter and was known for her fried chicken, whipped cream cake, lemon pie, and chocolate chip cookies.

ANIBEL FERN HUTSON, 82, widow of Wayne E. Hutson; children, Dwayne Hutson, Rebecca Wray Shope; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Anibel was employed by Western Electric for over 19 years. She was a member of Southport Baptist Church and an employee of Long’s Bakery in Southport.
She is a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, poet, and musician. She is beloved by her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She was an accountant who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlework and her family.

TIMOTHY “FRITZ” PARSON, 56, siblings, Linda (Steve) Stone, Pam (Dave) Thompson, Heather (Adam Boak) Wood and Jon (Karen) Parson.
He enjoyed college sports and was an avid Notre Dame football fan. Tim loved animals, especially his best “four-legged” friend “Ginger”. He could often be found watching old movies and Andy Griffith. Tim put his family above everything else in his life and is going to be dearly missed.

SHARON JEAN PICKEREL, 79, husband, Billy Pickerel; sons, Billy “Lit’l Bill” and Richard Pickerel (Stefan); one granddaughter.
She was a member of Indiana Street Rod Association for over 50 years and an administrative assistant for the Fraternal Order of Police for over 20 years.
She enjoyed riding in one of many hot rods the family owned over the years and enjoyed attending various car shows where she spent time doing what she did best, socializing with her many friends and family.

HELEN LOUISE PINKSTON, 95, widow of Arthur W. Pinkston; children, Donna (Tim) Smith, Brenda (Walt) Colbert, Jerry (Terri) and Mike (Patti) Pinkston; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Helen retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, completing word puzzles, and listening to music. Helen’s favorite thing to do was spending time and laughing with her family.

THE HONORABLE JUDGE RICHARD E. SALLEE, 90, wife, Cheri Sallee; daughters, Tonya and Natalie Sallee; one granddaughter.
Dick attended Sacred Heart for primary and high school. He received his B.S. in Business Law from IU-Bloomington. He worked long hours at numerous jobs to pay for his education without assistance while maintaining high grades.
He served as a Marion County Municipal Court Judge for 22 years and Senior Judge for 15 years.
His hobbies included attending the Indianapolis 500, playing Aggravation, going to the theater, hiking, exercising, and joke-telling.

GUTHRIE CURTIS SNIDER, 90, widower of Dolores M. Snider; daughter, Kim Parmenter; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He left school to care for his mother and siblings after his dad passed away and then later in life received his GED. He was the Owner/Operator of Snider Trucking and retired in 2008. He was a good mechanic and loved tinkering in his garage, fishing, hunting and the Indianapolis Colts. He was a member of Indianapolis Baptist Temple for 60 years where he was an usher and enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

DENNIS CHARLES THOMPSON, 79, wife, Judy; children, David (Connie) and Bill (Amy) Betts, Shane Thompson (Sarah), Rachel (Phil) Odenkirk; 12 grandchildren.
Dennis worked for 38 years as a chemist for Eli Lilly & Co. with his name on many Lilly patents. He was a volunteer at Hunger Inc. food pantry for 33 years.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, May 27th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 600 Paul Hand Blvd., Franklin IN. Calling will be 10 a.m. to noon with the celebration of life following.

DIANE WRIGHT, 80, husband, Bill; children, Dean (Dawn) and Jason Drury (Jessica), Kimberly Lasley (Carl); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Diane was raised in Beech Grove and attended Beech Grove High School.
Diane set up shop as a hairdresser in the basement of her home and also worked part-time in sales at Lazarus.
Diane loved to travel and would often take her family on vacations. Her biggest adventure was a 61-day, 11,800-mile, round-trip drive to Alaska and back. She was a big car-racing fan, often attending the Indy 500, and avidly watching NASCAR races.
