Her memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Christine McNeal officiating. Visitation will be held two hours before the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Cari was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Bloomington, Ill., the daughter of Alan and Carol (McCauley) Swartz.
Surviving are her parents, Alan and Carol Swartz of Indianapolis; grandmothers, Betty Swartz of Bloomington and Norma Rees of Newark, Ohio. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lori Ann Swartz of Indianapolis, grandfathers, Ernest M. Swartz of Bloomington and Russell R. Lawyer, Newark.
Cari grew up in Paducah graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School in 1984 and Carl D. Perkins Vocational Training Center, Thelma, Ky.

Cari was deeply loved and will be missed, leaving behind all her friends and staff at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Paducah, where she resided for five years.
