Despite the heat, humidity and the risk of a thunderstorm, diehard gearheads brought out their hot rods for the July edition of The Southsider Voice-sponsored Cruise In.
On July 5, approximately 50 vintage, classic, restored and customized vehicles were proudly on display for an admiring crowd in the Beck Service Center parking lot.
Patriotism and colorful vehicles were the order of the evening. Robert Proctor opened the latest Cruise In by singing the National Anthem at six o’clock. Paul Rippy then provided live music for all vehicle owners and viewers.
Free food and water were available to all participants and car enthusiasts with Chickaboom chicken, baked beans and chips being served. During the show the second edition of the Car Nutz Corner was distributed to all, featuring Dennis Pruitt’s 1957 T-Bird. The flip-side featured photos from the June Cruise In.
