Ziebart, known as the leader in automotive protection and after-market accessories professionals, has moved its Greenwood shop to 701 N. U.S. 31.

The new store is six times larger than the old location at 1285 N. U.S. and has easier access for customers. “It’s huge,” said company President Jim Harris “This is something that we have wanted to do for 10 years.”

Locally owned and operated, Ziebart has been in business 54 years and has 14 stores in Indiana and Ohio. The company purchased the building, which formerly housed Hostess Brands, to provide a more customer focused and customer friendly environment.

“It’s the most extensive remodeling project that we have ever taken on,” said Harris, who added that the effort took about six months. “It was just a shell with holes in the roof. We had to revamp the entire building. It’s a beautiful place with a big showroom and a large waiting room with two TVs; there’s also free coffee. It was built for the convenience of our customers. We hope everyone comes in to see us.” Although the move was a huge undertaking, it went smoothly. “Everyone helped out,” said Harris.

While Ziebart is known for an array of services and most notably rustproofing, Harris noted that his stores are the No. 1 place to get windows tinted. Our warranty and our window-tinting technician Todd Ridgeway separates the Greenwood store from the competition. “Todd Ridgeway has 27 years on the job. He’s a local guy, and he’s the best around. You can find a doctor quicker than you can find a good window tinter,” Harris stated.  The Greenwood retail store (888-3636), is managed by Jerry LeMasters and employs 20 factory-trained professionals, most of whom are cross-trained.

Ziebart has five locations in the Indianapolis area that specialize in vehicle Rust Protection, Diamond Gloss, Interior Fabric and Leather Protection, Rhino Lining, auto detailing, scratch and scuff repair services, window tinting, remote starters, audio electronics, navigation and video systems, truck accessories and more.

Ziebart has established a name for themselves as a premier installer of remote starters. “The remote starters are ridiculously popular and come with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor,” said customer service manager Brandi Gehring in a December interview. Who wouldn’t love to have a remote starter when the temperature is nearing 90 degrees or plummeting to single digits?  Customers can have their starters customized to meet their needs.

Although Harris, who was recruited by Ziebart 21 years ago, doesn’t really have a home store – he goes to where he’s most needed – his new preference just might be the company’s spacious, beautiful new Greenwood facility.

I have used your services for over 10 years and have always been pleased. I have relocated to the DWF area and was shocked that there were no dealershipsin this area. The closest is Corpus Christi which is a 6 hour drive from the DFW area.
Im interested in starting a francise in this area, would like some information about doing so.
Thank you
