When ...’

If you have several readers on your Christmas shopping list, you will want to stop by The Southsider Voice on Friday, as the authors of three books will be on hand to sell and sign copies of their works.
Sure to be of interest to Southsiders is “Remember When, ...” which was penned by Voice Editor B. Scott Mohr and Publisher Kelly Sawyers.
The book takes a retrospective look at the community through the archives of The Spotlight newspaper. More than 1,000 news briefs from 1955, ’65, ’75, ’85 and ’95 are complimented by 225-plus nostalgic photographs and advertisements. You most certainly will read about or see a picture or two of people you know. Who knows ... you might even read about yourself.
Mohr and Sawyers will be available from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. to discuss their inaugural book, of which they hope is the first of many. The book costs $25.
