Audra Gardner Longtime Southsider and YMCA employee Audra Gardner has received the Mentor Award from the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis for developing best practices and procedures and training materials for new administrative assistants.
“Audi has the ability to train with real-life examples that can be applied when I return to my desk,” a co-worker said. “Because she explains why a process is in place, I have a better understanding of executing the task. Her clear instructions have made her a go-to person for me. Audi never hesitates to help when I call and is such a pleasure to work with!”
Because of her accuracy and attention to detail, the Y’s financial development department has asked her to serve in various roles, most recently as the person who organized and submitted annual campaign reports.
Most importantly, her peers say, “Audi’s charismatic personality makes her approachable and enables her to develop lasting and impressionable relationships with staff and members.”
