January 8 was the one-year anniversary of the hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of Dean Stegemoller, 61, at Southport and Bluff roads.
The incident occurred at 6:15 p.m. Stegemoller was struck while walking along Bluff Road. The suspect was driving a silver Tahoe (20002006) and continued south on Bluff Road after striking Stegemoller, according to Indianapolis police reports.
The vehicle was damaged on the front passenger side and was missing the Chevrolet emblem from the grill. Police launched a search for the vehicle that has not been found. The case remains unsolved after one year.
