Patients at Franciscan Health Cancer Center now have something to warm up with while undergoing treatment and at home, thanks to Dreyer & Reinbold Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Accompanied by Franciscan staff and society officials, representatives from the Greenwood auto dealer recently visited the center to deliver 80 blankets and thermal bags to be distributed to patients. The donations are part of the “Loves to Care” program, a health-focused initiative of Subaru’s national philanthropic platform.
Blankets were presented to two patients undergoing treatment at the Franciscan Health Indiana Blood & Marrow Transplantation unit, which specializes in treating leukemia, Hodgkins or non-Hodgkins lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other blood disorders.
“Our goal is to bring some degree of comfort to cancer patients as they undergo treatment,” said sales manager Andy Thimlar
