The State Road 37 corridor was announced Tuesday by state officials as the most reasonable route for Interstate-69 from Martinsville to Indianapolis. The route becomes the final step in completing the interstate, which will link Indianapolis to Evansville.
The route has an impact on Perry Township, but no determination has been made yet on the locations of interchanges, underpasses and overpasses.
Preferred interchanges would be at County Line and Southport roads.
A public meeting on the matter will be hosted by the Indiana Department of Transportation at 7 p.m. Monday, April 4, at Perry Meridian High School, 401 W. Meridian School Road.
