Jeffrey Sutt has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest attainable honor in Boy Scouts.
For his service project – the last requirement to become an Eagle Scout after earning 21 merit badges – Sutt and his team of volunteers from Troop 316 worked more than 900 hours to create a veterans memorial at Southport Park.
A flag from each branch of the military now joins the American flag, and the memorial is encased by bricks.
