Tavonna Harris Askew The Indianapolis Business Journal has named Tavonna Harris Askew as one of its 2016 Women of Influence.
Among her many accomplishments, Askew spearheaded the quest to designate Wishard Health Services (now Eskenzai Health) as a federally qualified health center. The skills that she used in that endeavor aid her in her day-to-responsibilities as chief of staff and general counsel of the Health and Hospital Corp. of Marion County.
She is actively involved in The Mind Trust/United Negro College Fund Education Champions and serves on several boards.
Askew is a 1994 graduate of Southport High School who earned bachelor’s and law degrees from Indiana University. She and her husband, Charles, have four children.
