American Legion Post 355, 7610 S. Meridian St., has installed a drop box for people who want to be assured that their American flags will be properly retired by Girl Scout Troop 1052.
“We receive hundreds of flags each year from members of the community who have no way of disposing of them correctly,” said Pat Delaney (left), the post’s judge advocate. “It is an honor for our organization to help them (Scouts) with this.”
