With an average GPA of 3.7, this year’s princesses were selected from hundreds of applicants based upon communication skills, academic performance and community involvement.
The princess program provides young women with countless opportunities for leadership, networking and professional development, including pre-race ceremonies and a Victory Circle celebration for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500.
Each princess receives a $1,000 scholarship, and the queen, who will be crowned May 20, will receive an additional $1,500 grant.
