
The Rev. Raymond A. Smith will be installed as pastor of Emmaus Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Located in Fountain Square, the church and school are 111 years old.
Smith graduated from the school in 1982, Lutheran High in 1986 and Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne in 2006, where he earned a master’s of divinity degree.
He has served at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville, Minn., and as a fill-in pastor at St. Paul in Dewberry, Ind. He will continue to serve as a mission plant at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Centerville.
Smith said he is excited about moving back to the Fountain Square area to begin serving and giving back to a church and school that has given him so much.
A reception will follow the installation service.
