Located at Meridian Street and Stop 11 Road, the addition was developed in the 1960s and has always had a vibrant and engaging homeowners association that has maintained the community for decades.
The residents have been vocal advocates over the years, helping shape the growth of the surrounding area, including the development of Perry Park. The neighborhood has also developed a close relationship with the ever-growing Chin population in Perry Township.
Each year Hill Valley puts on a residents picnic at German Park, with attendance surpassing 500 guests, including City-County councillors and other elected officials.
“I’m proud to celebrate Hill Valley as this month’s Neighborhood of the Month,” said Hogsett. “The area has a dedicated group of leaders who have worked hard to develop the kind of community where families want to raise their kids. Throughout November we will continue to engage their neighborhood leadership while supporting cleanup efforts.”
Councillor Scott Kreider, whose district includes Hill Valley, will help to celebrate the area as well. “Hill Valley is a warm and inviting neighborhood that serves as a shining example of the ‘one city’ concept that we strive to achieve across all parts of Indianapolis,” he noted.
