Thin Blue Line USA, a social enterprise that gives back to the law enforcement community, has raised $10,277 for the family of Southport Police Lt. Aaron Allan, who was fatally shot July 27 after responding to a car crash.
The funds were raised through the sale of Thin Blue Line bracelets.
“The outpouring of local and national support for the family of Lieutenant Allan gives tribute to the amazing life of service he led,” said Thin Blue Line President Andrew Jacob. “Lt. Allan was an overwhelmingly positive role model in the community, and this senseless attack has taken a true American hero.”
Southport Police Chief Thomas Vaughn said “Lt. Allan was generous and kind and always willing to put other people first. “He exhibited bravery, professionalism and dignity.”
