Retiring Nativity football coach Jim Mahin (center, with plaque) was honored during the grade school’s homecoming festivities. A fixture on Nativity’s sideline since 1986, he not only taught his players about the game but also about life. Mahin is known for being a positive influence to hundreds of boys, helping them grow into fine young men of faith while teaching them how to deal with winning and losing. A winner of three Catholic Youth Organization city championships, he is seen with present and former players.
