Hunger Inc. and the Southport Meijer store are teaming to provide hunger relief in Perry Township and Beech Grove through Meijer’s Simply Give program.
When customers purchase Simply Give donation cards from the store through Sept. 27, Meijer will make a matching donation. The cards will then be converted to food-only cards and given to Hunger Inc.
“As people continue to struggle to pay their bills and put food on their tables, the program will fill that void,” said Hunger Inc. President Patrick Musall.
“I want to encourage you to help us fulfill our mission of helping feed the hungry in Perry Township and Beech Grove by purchasing a food donation card during your next trip to the Southport Meijer,” he said.
“Please tell your friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers because every dollar makes a difference.”
Hunger Inc. helped to feed more than 15,000 people last year.
