Bentley, seen with its new owner, was among the 480 animals adopted from Indianapolis Animal Care Services from Dec. 1-27. And many of those had been longtime residents of the center, said public information officer Kristen Lee.
“Thanks to the community’s support and our ‘Home for the Pawlidays’ and ‘12 Days Strays’ promotions, many of our long-termers were able to find their forever homes.
“We greatly appreciate everyone’s support in giving shelter animals a second chance, which they all deserve. “But our work is not done yet. There are still more than 800 animals in our care. Now through Jan. 10 all adoption fees will be waived.”
