From its first humble celebration at a country church in Grafton, West Virginia, in 1908, Mother’s Day has stood for one thing: the appreciation of mothers. Appreciation for the many roles she plays and the unconditional love she gives to her family and friends.

One of those special mothers is Dawn Whalen, who owns Whalen Realty Group. Her children, Anthony Bunnell and Ashley Manis, share a few kind thoughts about her.

Q: What is one thing you would want your mother to know?
