The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, 450 W. Ohio St., will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, with the inaugural Indiana Olympics taking place from noon-5 p.m. Then, from 6-8 p.m., the society will host a patriotic edition of its Concerts on the Canal series.
The Olympics will feature pioneer games and other competitions. In addition, guests can step back in time with “You Are There” exhibits and take virtual time-travel journeys.
The evening’s Independence Day concert will feature the Indianapolis Municipal Band performing patriotic tunes and marches from 6-9 p.m. Guests, who can bring food and nonalcoholic beverages, can reserve a table or a seat or enjoy the music free on the grassy area by the Canal Walk.
