The musical opened on Broadway in 1961 and is based on the book of the same name-. It was also turned into a movie in 1967.
A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, the musical follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant “company man,” the office party, backstabbing coworkers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.
Among the cast are southsiders Alex Bast, Conner Becker-Chamberlin, Isaac Becker-Chamberlin, Joi Blalock, Silvia Seidle, Susan Sturm, Emily Theurer.
