Franklin Township’s Francesca Zappia has been named a finalist for an Emerging Author Award in the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award program.
Author of “Made You Up,” “Eliza and Her Monsters” and the online serial “The Children of Hypnos,” Zappia is in the running for a $5,000 prize.
She graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2015 with a degree in computer science and mathematics. She spends most of her free time writing, drawing and playing video games.
Zappia and the other honorees will be recognized at an awards banquet Oct. 15 at Central Library.
