That model is a $50 million, 108,000-square-foot complex at 1703 W. Stones Crossing Road, where a groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
“Our micro-hospital is a model of value-based care and focuses on providing the right kind of care at the right time – and at the right location for patients,” said Dr. James Callaghan, president and CEO of Franciscan Health.
Featuring eight inpatient rooms, the hospital will provide many of the same services found at Franciscan Health on Emerson Avenue but on a smaller scale.
The three-story complex will provide an array of outpatient and other specialty services.
The emergency center will have several exam rooms, full imaging services and lab support.
