Cardwell Do-it Best Home Center, 3205 Madison Ave., has opened a collection center for victims of the flooding Louisiana.
“We are calling on our families, friends and neighbors throughout central Indiana to join us in this effort to meet the urgent needs of the flood victims,” said Jeff Cardwell, president of the center. “Life is all about people helping people in their time of need.”
Suggested donations include bottled water, nonperishable food, hygiene products, toiletries, baby diapers and formula, school and cleaning supplies, trash bags, bug spray and pet food.
Donations can be dropped off from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Info: 788-0008.
