Members of the Ave Maria Guild gathered Sunday to observe 60 years of dedicated work at St. Paul Hermitage, where the guild supports the Sisters of St. Benedict and the staff in helping to make the lives of residents more meaningful. The event included a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Joseph W. Tobin (back, center).
Guild members recognized for their longtime service are (front, from left) Mildred Spalding, 23 years; Joan Sylvester, 26 years; Mary Curd, 30; Ruth Grannan, 32; Mary Mullen, 19 years; Rita Walsh, 19 years; Pat Hoffman,17; (back) Linda Augenstein, guild president; and Sharon Gartell, vice president. Rosemary Mackell, 40 years; Pat Henninger, 28; and Lucy Corder, 24; were unable to attend.
