Marilyn Ramsey A reception and a birthday party for former Southport High School girls basketball coach Marilyn Ramsey, who is battling Stage 4 cancer, will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at The Cardinals Nest; enter Doors 4 or 6. Food and drinks will be provided.
Ramsey will be presented a special award before the girls basketball game, which starts around 7:30 p.m. All of her former players will be asked to join her on the court.
