The inaugural Grand Prix of Beech Grove for go-kart competitors will be June 16, it was announced Tuesday by Mayor Dennis Buckley and Speedway Indoor Karting owners Andy O’Gara and Sarah Fisher.
A course will be set up utilizing Hornet Avenue, the driveway beside Hornet Park Community Center and elementary school, the parking lot adjacent to Beech Grove High School’s football field and the circle in front of the high school.
The event is expected to be one of the biggest races of the year for the Southern Indiana Karting Association (SIKA) with 10 different classes for ages five years and older, adults, masters and seniors.
Spectator admission is free.
