Members of the Southport Police Department arrived in Baytown, Texas, last week with a 26-foot box truck filled with donations for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The contributions came from residents, Kroger, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and others, and it only took two days to fill the truck.
The department was represented in the Lone Star State by Chief Thomas Vaughn, his wife, Jane, Assistant Chief Bob Curl and officer Doug Riddle.
