Despite dissent and disappointment, educators in Perry Township Schools ratified a contract – one that contained no salary increase for the current year and a 2.5 percent pay raise for 1996-97. Perry Meridian High School science teacher Greg Harveth called the contract a slap in the face.

The reserve squad featured Scott Bomkamp, John Schilk, Julie Patterson, Ben Ruyack, Candace Pettit, Heather Harris, Brandon Kivett and Greg Bradley.
