THIS WEEK’S KORNER IS BY NATHAN PACE
Beech Grove High School students and faculty raised more than $9,100 for Riley Hospital for Children during their inaugural dance marathon Saturday night. The total nearly doubled the goal of $5,000.
Money was raised all week as students paid a dollar to wear a costume or pajamas to school on certain days. Activities during the six-hour event included duct taping a teacher to the wall, a photo booth, guest speakers, basketball tournament and face painting station.
