Since the Indiana Historical Society no longer hosts a History Bowl, area Lutheran schools agreed to pick up the slack by sponsoring one. The event was held April 17 at Our Shepherd Lutheran School in Avon, where more than 80 fourth-graders from six schools competed. Calvary Lutheran on Shelby Street won the bowl, which may be expanded next year.
The winning team included (from left) Amanda Sorenson, Garrison Barile, Nathan Alexander and Alex Evans.
The fourth-graders (below) are taught by Kimberly Moore.
