Sunday’s weather couldn’t have been nicer for the ninth annual Carz “R” Us Car Show in Beech Grove. About 200 cars showed up for the event, including two old Hudson street rods driven by some folks from Kansas. They were traveling to Maine on vacation and found information about the show on the Internet. They stopped for the show before continuing on their way. John O’Gara spearheaded the charity show along with countless hours of preparation by Mike Delaney, Jim Oakley, Bart Heldman and Gary Schrop. All proceeds are donated to charities. Our last Car Nutz cruise-in of the year will be at 6 p.m. Friday at 6025 Madison Ave. P.S. It’s NOT going to rain! Come out and enjoy one more fun evening with us. We have been averaging 85 cars at each cruise-in, so mark your calendar. Until next week, keep on cruising! |
